Lovatics and Britney Spears fans rejoice! Two of your favourite superstars will be series regulars on the oh so popular show “X-Factor”. Ultimately taking the place of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Based on the picture above, seems like Demi has been waiting to meet Britney Spears for a while. The Simon Cowell enforced show learned that the show was on the hunt for some new judges. Many names were passed along like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston but it sounds like Britney Spears and Demi Lovato nabbed the spots. Ttat means they will act as mentors to a group of contenstants to help them suceed. Kind of like the Voice, but more like American Idol more importantly we’ll get to see Britney Spears actually TALK. Demi Lovato seems very young to be a judge but I think she has enough experience to give some insight into the industry plus her pipes are ones to admire. I’m not sure the angle Britney Spears is going to be judging at but I know because of her this show will PULL in the ratings.

Looking into the future of the show, Demi Lovato will stick around and Britney Spears will phase out, announce an album near the season finale and go off on tour. Think about how J-LO used American Idol as a platform, it’s the perfect way to build up an entirely new fan-base, stay relevant and make people like you through your charming personality.

Can’t wait to see how these two do!

“The sun goes down, the stars come out” are the lyrics you have been hearing for the past couple of months over and over again. The song that proves an accordion can make a song a smash hit sung by the U-K boy band The Wanted has gotten these boys quite the publicity. Instead of hiding from press and making them want more and more…the boys have been apart of some of the craziest headlines.

1:

They were told to stay away from One Direction.

Apparently the two bands use the same rehearsal space and whenever the boys are around One Direction they treat them like little bro’s. So a lots of pushing around and poking fun.

2:

While on tour with Britney Spears, they were told to ‘face the wall’ as she walked down around backstage.

They went on tour with Britney over in the U-K and signed a confidentiality agreement to not say anything about the tour. But they just did.

3:

They called Christina Aguilera a bitch.

Christina Aguilera was cold to them when they were on the voice so they called her a bitch. As simple as that.

4:

Justin Bieber punched one of them in the crotch.

They were also on tour with Justin Bieber, and this doesn’t surprise me.

So what’s up with all the headlines guys? I don’t mind because I feel like they are letting us see what the celebrity world is actually like. Dealing with diva’s like Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears, people taking jokes in the wrong way like One Direction and having fun with Justin Bieber is basically all there is to the music industry.

Right?

;)

Over the years we have watched Britney Spears grow! We saw her work her way up to being a certified sex symbol, to a certified drug addict then to a…dare I say it, acertified mother. If one thing about Britney Spears has always remained the same it is that beautiful face of hers. Spears came into our lives with her hit single “Hit Me Baby One More Time”, then just recently gave us “Criminal” off of her album Femme Fatale.

Britney Spears has given us 7 albums, countless hit singles, and lots of gossip for the tabloids to talk about. Getting married to Kevin Federline, getting divorced after less then 24 hours to some random, and also everyone’s favourite shaving her head. Through the video (above), you can see Britney transform from a little girl right to how we see her today.

What is your favourite Britney moment?

Last night was ALL ABOUT BEYONCE at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. The award show that was CUT off the air for a couple of years made for a HELL of a come back. Opening the show as Rihanna with her raunchy hit “S&M”. As soon as Rihanna hit the stage Britney Spears sent out a tweet that said “I Like It, Like It” which meant that home girl was coming out!

Did she come out? DUH!

Although Rihanna RIPPED up the stage, when Britney came out…it was a whole lot of AWKWARDNESS! (not a word, I’m aware ;) ) The thing with Britney is that she needs to LOOSEN UP…she seemed so uncomfortable with the pole dancing and the random pillow fight at the end. I think someone forgot to turn on the lights…I miss the OLD Britney.

Who had the BEST PERFORMANCE?

Who run the WORLD? BEYONCE! While Beyonce was getting awarded for excellence throughout the MANY years of her career. She was gearing up for the performance of a life time. “Who Run The World (Girls)” didn’t seem to be a radio favorite or a fan favorite, but I guarantee after seeing this performance…you’ll fall in love. Beyonce dances in front of a video screen without missing a BEAT…her main thing was that SHE HAD TO BE ON TIME or else the dance would look off. I think it’s safe to say that Beyonce was MORE on time than the video screen. (skip to the 3:00 min mark)

Most awkward performance:

NICKI MINAJ…betcha didn’t think I was going to say that one. The QUEEN of loosening up and being all CRAZY seemed a bit ‘tight’ when she performed her new single “Super-Bass”. Her performance that was even equipped with a surprise Britney cameo for their remix of “Till The World Ends” didn’t seem to ‘surprise’ or have the audience going O-M-G Nicki is amazing. But because she is still ‘new’ in the game I’ll cut her some slack and give her the credit for at least GETTING to the stage, being nominated…it was her first award show performance ever. It was like seeing your kid off to school for the first time.

WHO KNEW SHE COULD SING award goes to:

Ke$ha! Ke$ha opened her performance with a song called “Animal” off of her album and SLAYED It. She sang her ass off AND danced her ass off. She was on her game, and if we keep on seeing more performances like this Ke$ha will be even BIGGER than she already is. I think next to Beyonce she had one of the BEST performances of the night. “throw some glittah, make it RAIN”

Honorable mentions:

Cee-Lo Green took the stage for a MEDLEY of hits and reminded us WHY he makes good music. He did a mash-up of “Crazy”, “Forget You” and more hits.

Taio-Cruz won his first award EVER! …I bet he is throwing his hands up in the air ‘sometimes’.

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are SO CUTE…however their ‘hugs’ and ‘kisses’ seemed a bit PLANNED throughout the night. But you can’t deny that they are the definition of a “teenage love affair” cue the Alicia Keys track…

What did YOU Think,

is Britney really worth it?

March 29th, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in Concerts - (0 Comments)

With the big Good Morning American performance and the new album release. Britney Spears added some tour dates to her schedule to promote “Femme Fetale” I remember seeing Ms Spears twice on her circus tour and every time she hit the stage it was like fire. The thing is though with artists like Adele, Lady Gaga, etc. I want to see a LIVE show. Live in the sense that the person is singing live. Tickets will cost 100-400$ depending on where you want sit. In my opinion that is a little to HIGH to watch her walk around mime the lyrics and dance. The thing is though you can’t deny that Britney Spears is a great ENTERTAINER. Dancing is what she does best so I see why the tickets are so highly priced. I don’t know, this tour doesn’t seem to have as much hype as the Circus tour resulting in the fact that I might skip out on her stop in Toronto.

Not sure, WILL YOU GO? She stops off at the Air Canada Center on August 13th 2011.

Britney Spears hits up VEGAS…

March 28th, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in music - (1 Comments)

Britney Spears performed this past weekend for Good Morning America and in Las Vegas. She surprised fans when she showed up at some big name hotel in Las Vegas for a show the audience won’t forget. As you can see in the video below Ms. Spears can work it! But unfortunately she isn’t that comfortable to sing live as yet. The thing with Britney Spears is that I think she is one of the artist who can get away without singing live. At this point we just don’t care…we are surprised she is still doing shows and performing. I would like to see Britney Spears improve on her dancing though and just blow us all away!

The new album: Have you heard it yet? It’s a pretty BANGING album. Not really anything creative on Britney’s stand point as you can tell she didn’t (or never did) have any input on the way her music is sounding. But her team hooked her up with some SICK producers and came out with a hit album. I still think her “Blackout” album was her best yet. I wonder how Femme Fatale is going to do on the charts.

can’t hardly wait; new music 2011

January 16th, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in music - (0 Comments)

2011 marks a big year in music. A lot of artists are coming out with new music and there are a lot of people (like myself) that are dreading the wait for the full albums to come out! This is part one of my …. how many ever more there will be of: most anticipated albums of 2011!

Britney Spears: I am not a huge fan of her, but at the same time I am. I can’t get enough of her electronic voice and her catchy (not written by her) lyrics! Her new album which is untitled is due out in March and I am expecting some more club beats like her new single “Don’t Hold It Against Me”. Britney’s (kind-of) come back album is going to be epic beyond any other album of hers. The anticipation is CRAZY!

Lady Gaga: Born This Way is the title of the album and it is expected to be released on May 23rd 2011. I haven’t heard so much buzz about an album ever. Lady Gaga said over twitter that the album is her best work yet, with plenty of hits for us to enjoy. I thought that Lady Gaga would take a break since she has been touring since 2009 but I guess a true ‘entertainer’ never stops. I don’t even know what to expect musically from Gaga this time around. Will she change her vibe? Will she keep the same sound? It’s questions that won’t be answered until we get that single on February 13th...can’t wait!

No Doubt: I posted about them coming back with new music this year! I’m expecting more hits from this group. I wonder if Gwen Stefani will cross her ‘pop’ music into their new stuff? It is an idea if they wanted to be more ‘mainstream’. I wouldn’t mind if they did that. However with doing that cross over, their new music will not be as memorable as their old stuff. I still listen to “Hey Baby” and I definitely don’t listen to “Hollaback Girl” any more. What will they do new vibe or keep it old school? No album release date…yet!

The Ting Tings: If you haven’t listened to this band yet, you are missing out. Their rock-electro single “Hands” has me wanting more music from them! There is unfortunately no release date for their 2nd album…or name for that matter. If you don’t know who these group is they sung that song “That’s Not My Name” and “Shut up and Let Me Go”. Doesn’t ring any bells? Well don’t you worry because I can assure you when they come out with this new album there will be lots more hits to go around! ALSO last year they were up for Best New Artist at the 2010 Grammy’s!

To hold you over…here is ‘Hands’. Which albums are you waiting for this year?

I love music

This will never end. I thought it was because maybe the media just wouldn’t get over it, because let’s get real...Kanye dissing Taylor Swift will always be one of those “what the HELL was he thinking” conversations. But both Britney Spears and Kanye West dropped singles on Tuesday and just so happened that  Britney came out on top. Not surprised she did since it is her first single since 2009…so it has been a long wait for many fans. Where as Kanye already had his ‘come-back‘ after dissing T-Swizzle with “My Twisted Dark Fantasy”. Kanye posted this on twitter and I thought you guys should see:

LOL I think it’s hilarious that he can make fun of himself. Kanye might be coming back on my good side. His music will always be on my good side because their is something EPIC about every track on his new album. But him as a person…I wasn’t really enjoying his ‘antics’ but now it seems he has turned into a joker.

Good one Kanye!

Do you forgive Kanye?

NICE! I agree with you Andrew, she is helping dub-step reach a bigger audience. I guess it doesn’t hurt that it is coming from Britney Spears considering she is a music icon in the making. This will only add to her progress as an artist and hopefully we won’t run into any head-shaving drama this time around! I am actually surprised with her ‘I didn’t go anywhere come back’ because from the feedback on twitter many people have really liked it!

Do you guys agree with Andrew, how do you like the new song, do you think Britney Spears has what it takes to stay in the game? Click here to reply…

Can’t wait for the video!

-Mark Suknanan

if you want to hear the song…here it is

HOLLA,

I posted about Britney Spears before saying her new single is coming out! I listened to it and it sounds pretty good. Not anything unique just a very good dance track. It reminds me of another song of hers off of her Circus album called Shattered Glass!

you do the comparison!

Hold it Against Me:

Shattered Glass:

(listen to the full song above then skip to the 1:00 mark)

The hook sounds familiar but a lot of dance tracks sound similiar! Congrats Britney for releasing some new music to stay relevant in 2011. Pretty exciting if your a Britney Spears fan and if you not, don’t worry ‘hold it against me’ will be played continuously on EVERY radio station starting tomorrow!

Enjoy :)
