Demi Lovato names her next single :)

December 20th, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in music - (0 Comments)

While doing press for her album Unbroken, Demi Lovato was promoting her song Who’s That Boy feat Dev as her next single. While fans patiently waited for Demi to come out with the video for the song, a quick switch up was made and now her new single is going to be Give Your Heart A Break!

I can see the direction she is trying to go in. Demi is pushing all the inspriational songs as singles because that’s the effect she is having on everyone right now. She wants to show people that if she can recover, then you can to.

Good choice on the new single…

The strings in it sound SICK and I love me some Demi Lovato.

Fashionista and MuchMusic V-J extraordinaire took some time out of her busy schedule to co-host an entire hour of Rumour Has It. Liz Trinnear has been at Much for 2 years now ever since winning the V-J search. Her swag and unique style was the perfect match for Rumour Has It as she dipped back into her radio days with me! Listen below to hear us talk about X-Factor, Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, Dev and …she even does a Die Antwood impression.

Enjoy!

Liz tells me about the time she got pushed off a bridge…it’s a story you don’t want to miss.

Liz talks about X-Factor and Selena Gomez!

Liz said she is a Demi person while talking about Selena Gomez…so we talked about why she is so damn obsessed!

Both Liz and I have interviewed Dev so we got personal when we heard she was pregnant.

Liz tells me who Die Antwoord is and even does her best impression..it’s epic.

To follow Liz on twitter you can check her out at http://twitter.com/liztrinnear or check out her posts on http://muchmusic.com/liz

As she said, she lives on the interweb.

Have your friends ever bailed on you when you wanted to go to the club? Are you wondering where I am going with this? DAVID GUETTA just released a new album called “Nothing but the Beat” and it’s nothing but FULL of HITS. As my brother said to me “YO, this album is FULL OF BANGERS”. A ‘banger’ is something that can be either overplayed on the radio or overplayed in the club.

So here are the bangers that you should listen to of Guetta’s latest:

Turn Me On feat Nicki Minaj:  The majority of the song has Nicki Minaj singing all the verses and chorus and it’s kind of pleasent. I mean it’s no Superbass but I can see how this would do well in the club. For those of you who listen and realise that you prefer Nicki rapping…wait until the end.

I Can Only Imagine feat Chris Brown & Lil’ Wayne: But TWO off hip-hops hottest stars on a tracks can you come out with a track that might carry over to NEXT summer. The electro beats with Chris Brown’s voice seem to be a match made in heaven. Think Beautiful people on crack.

I Just Want To F feat Timbaland & Dev: Who doesn’t love Dev on a track? Her smooth vocals play a character in this track challenging Timbaland to you know…F. It’s like a new Promiscuious (Nelly Furtado) with a sick beat and DEV.

Go.Get.The.ALBUM! It’s a MUST!

WITH MAH BASS DOWN LOW! The time has FINALLY come. It’s time for the DEV interview. I had no clue that I would be wrangling her at the MMVA’s which makes this even more special. I have so much respect for this girl. She makes GOOD music, she is MAD cool and she has a VERY unique voice! I got the oppurtunity to interview Dev before she opened for Usher and Akon back in May. We talk about EVERYTHING…in this interview I feel like she REALLY revealed a lot about herself so let me introduce you to DEV.

:)

Enjoy.

The MMVA’s are right around the corner. One of the most exciting award shows of all time will take place on June 19th 2011. Selena Gomez is said to be co-hosting and Lady Gaga is also set to perform. BOOM BOOM BOOM! How could it get any better? WELL…MuchMusic added Down With Webster, Fefe Dobson, Far East Movement Feat Dev, and SIMPLE plan to their already HOT list of performers.

I wasn’t sure how Much would compare to last year…but I think with these latest additions it’s going to be HUGE!

So many speculations…is Selena going to bring Bieber? With Fefe Dobson cry when she performs her break-up song “Can’t Breath”? Will Down With Webster be QUESTIONED about firing one of their band mates? ……SO MANY QUESTIONS and ONE BIG SHOW TO LOOK FORWARD TOO.

Can’t freakin’ wait!

Holy mitts in my oven TOMORROW at the Air Canada Center before Dev takes the stage to open for Usher I’ll be speaking with her! I can’t believe I scored this interview, words can’t express how EXCITED I am. Dev caught my eye ever since she stopped off at New Music Live to do some press. Her ‘swag’, club beats and sexy voice have captivated me and my iPod. Seems like every track Dev is featured on turns to gold.

We have lots to talk about DEV!

Listen to her new single ‘In The Dark’…it’s fire!

Dev IS HOT.

After doing some PRESS in Toronto. Dev has created QUITE the buzz for herself in Canada. The ‘voice’ of our favourite songs “Like A G-6″ and “Bass Down Low” stopped off at New.Music.Live for a performance and interview with Phoebe! She revealed that she use to live with the Cataracs, and that her album will drop THIS SUMMER. Very exciting…she is one of those artist that have you wondering if she is going to be a ONE-HIT wonder or not. Well after seeing her perform on the show I realized that Dev carries more swag and confidence with her than any of us could ever comprehend. I was SO surprised by the way she carried herself and that sexy voice we hear in the music is EXACT when she is performing it. NO auto-tune happening there folks, pure sexiness of a voice coming through those pipes. Dev is on my WATCH list. It seems like every single she touches turns to GOLD.

I like my beats fast and my BASS DOWN LOW. Go to http://newmusiclive.ca to see the LIVE performance. IT was EpIC.
