I’m sure many of you have heard Fefe Dobson’s latest singles ‘Ghost’ and/or ‘Stuttering’. If you haven’t you need to turn off the iPod and listen to the radio every so often :). She hit it big in 2003 with her smash it “Bye Bye Boyfriend” and now she is having ONE HELL OF A comeback with her latest album JOY. I find when listening to Fefe’s (real name Felicia) old stuff it has a very rock edgy type feel to it, and her NEW stuff is STILL very rock but can almost past for pop/rock. Apparently fan’s have been nagging her to be more ‘POP’ so that she can be more successful.
First of all what kind of fans does she have if they are telling her to make different type of music? Secondly, I think that Fefe should just keep doing her thang because at the end of the day her music is getting constant airplay on the radio PLUS her music videos are played non-stop on T-V whether or not they are more rock than pop! She had to defend herself on twitter and look what she said:

The other day I got a tweet sayin “fefe why dont u do pop music? U’ll get noticed- more fame. It’s harder 4 girls to rock”……
. Here’s what I think about that comment. I’m sure there were people out there that said tht bull to Joan Jett or even Tina Turner …
… I do what I love. I am not apologetic for it. This is what runs through my soul. It may take me a bit longer but I’m not gonna stop….
And I’m glad Joan never gave up … And I’m glad Tina never gave up & the so many female rockers who have been told girls can’t rock !..
…I’m here to ROCK , Rebel , and do my best while pushing through!! Never give up on yourself !! U can do anything ur heart desires!!..
