Lovatics and Britney Spears fans rejoice! Two of your favourite superstars will be series regulars on the oh so popular show “X-Factor”. Ultimately taking the place of Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. Based on the picture above, seems like Demi has been waiting to meet Britney Spears for a while. The Simon Cowell enforced show learned that the show was on the hunt for some new judges. Many names were passed along like Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston but it sounds like Britney Spears and Demi Lovato nabbed the spots. Ttat means they will act as mentors to a group of contenstants to help them suceed. Kind of like the Voice, but more like American Idol more importantly we’ll get to see Britney Spears actually TALK. Demi Lovato seems very young to be a judge but I think she has enough experience to give some insight into the industry plus her pipes are ones to admire. I’m not sure the angle Britney Spears is going to be judging at but I know because of her this show will PULL in the ratings.

Looking into the future of the show, Demi Lovato will stick around and Britney Spears will phase out, announce an album near the season finale and go off on tour. Think about how J-LO used American Idol as a platform, it’s the perfect way to build up an entirely new fan-base, stay relevant and make people like you through your charming personality.

Can’t wait to see how these two do!

Yes, I took it way back to the 90′s. As fellow intern beside me Jessica Stein said “I’m in an old mood”. This song magically appeared on my iPod through the shuffle. It took me back to a time where Big Pun and Fat Joe were THEE rappers and Jennifer Lopez was THEE of anything. She was fresh off of her movie Selena, I believe she was dating Diddy and she wasn’t even named J-Lo yet! Holy Flash back!

Enjoy.

will Nicki Minaj be judging YOU?

March 21st, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in gossip - (1 Comments)

All this X-FACTOR buzz is upon us and with that there is still no set judging panel and no set host! Big time music industry ICON L-A Reid pulled out of his duties at Island Def Jam to judge a singing competition(I don’t know why anyone would do that…but maybe he was ‘over’ it). X-Factor is a show that Simon Cowell heads over in the U-K and now he is bringing it to the U-S. The difference between X-Factor and American Idol would include X-Factor is more of a performance competition as appose to a singing competition. For instance Lady Gaga would try out of X-Factor and Adele would be on American Idol. ANYWAYS…Nicki Minaj is in ‘discussion’ to fit judging this television show competition into her BUSY schedule. The producers want her to be on the show because she is on top of her game right now and she would be GREAT for the show.

Should she do it? Yes Nicki would be great for ANYshow…but she SHOULDN’T do it. Judge reality competition shows when your career has blown over. Jennifer Lopez is doing American Idol right now to get some extra publicity for her new music because she isn’t as hot as she use to be. (looks she is hot, I was talking musically…how you doin’ J-Lo?). Nicki Minaj IS on top of her game right but she should stay right there and make new music, videos and tour!

Do you think Nicki should judge it? It would be HILARIOUS, but…I want more music!

Jay-Z’s TOUR demands

January 27th, 2011 | Posted by marksuknanan in Concerts | gossip - (0 Comments)

For some strange reason I find it OH so fascinating when a celebrities ‘tour rider’ gets leaked. The diva demands always seem to catch me off guard. Jay-Z’s just got leaked and he is in need of FOUR golfcarts, FOUR bottles of VODKA, FOUR bottle of tequila, Italian Red Wine, Sour Patch Kids in ‘nice china’, sugar-free red-bull, hand sanitizer, honey, organic bread, and orange juice.

After typing that out, I feel kind of creepy that now everyone knows what he has in his dressing room (Beyonce won’t be happy with this).

The thing that I really want to know is WHERE is he going with these golf carts? I know the arena isn’t THAT big for you to feel the need to drive around in them. If he needs these things before every show it looks like Jigga is gettin’ crunk before he goes on stage! I didn’t hear nothing crazy though about how things should look. But I do know that Beyonce and J-Lo request that EVERYTHING is in white.

If you were a celebrity, what crazy diva demand would you have?

Mine would be…lots and lots of CANDY and also if they want to throw Katy Perry in there to sing California Gurls while I eat the candy I’m cool with that ;).

Last night I was one of the TWENTY SIX million people watching the premiere of American Idol Season 10. As I mentioned before, Simon Cowell’s contract ended last Season so they brought on Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler to take over. I didn’t mind them being there at all! Yes I did miss Simon’s funny remarks like when he told one girl to fire her singing coach. Instead of the judges making you laugh for the last 9 seasons…this seasons the entertainment is relying solely on the contestants. Jennifer Lopez is like the new Paula Abdul of the bunch because she just can’t say no to people. Steve Tyler is NOTHING like Simon however his random outbreaks of high pitch screamo sounding shrieks make him worth watching.

Unfortunately though it seems to me that America is going to get bored of these three judges VERY quickly. I guess it IS a good thing that it is their last season!

Highlight of last nights episode: I wanted to show you this audition of this guy name Yoji-Pop Asano. He believes he was Michael Jackson out of the womb and he hates Miley Cyrus. Yet he chose to sing her song in the audition. He is officially the new William Hung

I see big things for this guy.

Jennifer Lopez is ‘trying’ to make her come back. I would just like to point of the fact that it seems like the ‘diva’ is struggling! Since her album ‘Rebirth’ seems like a new ‘J-Lo’ song would be released and then everyone would say how lame it is. Unfortunately I am saying the same thing to her new single ‘On The Floor’. Adding to her resume of “The Comeback” as I mentioned in a post before she is also going to be a judge on American Idol. I think American Idol and reality shows is more of her calling. The new music age seems to not need Jennifer Lopez anymore especially if it is going to sound she was pushing in her other ‘SIX’ albums.

Nice try though, if you want to hear Jennifer Lopez’ click below!

Does it make you want to dance? Or did you not even press play because of my ‘review’? Give it a chance and let me know what you think!

PS incase you were wondering it samples THIS song….

the melody is STUCK in my head, Mia Martina actually used it in one of the songs in the interview package I did with her (artist spotlight to the right)

I know shameless plug!

BOOYAH!

American Idol FANATICS! As we have all heard…the judges on American Idol have changed. We have Steve Tyler (and I don’t wanna miss a thannngg), Jennifer Lopez, and veteran Randy Jackson. Now I WAS a huge American Idol fan, and now I just watch the auditions. The show over the part years just got repetitive. However with these 3 new judges at the table, this show might be a little more ‘entertaining’ to watch. Yes, I did love Simon Cowell’s snippy remarks but I feel like Jlo will bring the diva when it comes to judging these idol hopefuls. I do not expect Steve Tyler to say much, and Randy will be just blabbering and calling everyone ‘dog’ as usual.

Should you be watching this show: If you into the whole competition thing, then this show is for you. I know they are on their one millionth season, but with new judges, new rules, and new idols…chances are it’ll seem like a entirely different show! This will be you last year to watch Idol, because this season is it’s last!

American Idol will be on January 19th 2011…even if you don’t like the show, watch the auditions! they are HILARIOUS!

But because Simon is no longer apart of the show, I’d like to reminisce on some of the rude but funny comments he has given past contestants:

LOL
