Kreayshawn is back with her crazy ways but dissing some very popular singers right now. The rapper took a jab at Lana Del Rey saying her music is so depressing she is going to slit her ankles. She also had words about Lady Gaga’s public toilet pictures by mocking the pop star…

Hey! I’m Lady Gaga! Gimme a cigarette”

Kreayshawn continues to say “she shits with the door open, in front of reporters. C’mon Girl!” I would have to agree with her, pooping with your door open is a little weird but in Gaga’s mind it’s art! Obviously Kreayshawn doesn’t know when to close her mouth but hey the more opinions the better but instead of saying it in an interview…why not rap about it?

I think that would be a great idea! Just me?

All of the rumours of Lana Del Rey’s one time album only have people digging for material that she recorded from the past. Although the rumours aren’t true and she apparently has albums worth of music written to let is dive into someone spotted this “Big Spender” cover. The song which has Pussycat Doll heaven written all over it shifts gears to the modernized digital world with a hard hip-hop beat and Lana Del Rey singing a great rendition of the classic. Lana Del Rey’s voice is perfect for a song like this! Listen below. The rapper in the song is named Smiler, he sounds good as well – but I was listening for the chorus.

Timing definitely had something to do with this next cover. Smooth vocalist and guitar-man Chris Cornell played a very chopped and screwed version of Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”. With Chris’ raspy voice and the guitar accompaniment it’s hard to even recognize the song. But when a chorus that is so recognizable to most of the general population, Whitney’s spirit begins to haunt us. This cover is a reminder of the star that Whitney Houston was.

Well doesn’t everyone! The Black Keys have commented on the weird hype that follows Ms Lana Del Rey. The band commented on the SNL performance that sometimes takes bands MONTHS to get. The band that just released their album “El Camino” said that she is like the band that headlines all the festivals then just disappear.

I would have to agree with the Black Keys. For someone who’s fame seemed ‘given’ to them, looking at the bigger picture of what Lana Del Rey really is…I feel bad too. She is under all of this controversy because of all the hype she is getting but at the end of it, it’s really not her fault. But they have a point when they talk about all bands this happens too, it just seems that someone that is talked about a lot tends to flop-over in the next couple of months.

Lana Del Rey done with music?

February 6th, 2012 | Posted by marksuknanan in gossip | music - (0 Comments)

Lana Del Rey simply doesn’t know when to shut up! Her album “Born To Die” is doing really well on the charts right now, but apparently she is done. In an interview with Vouge UK she tells them

I don’t think I’ll write another record, What would I say? I feel like everything I wanted to say, I’ve said already”.

Well Lana, I have a lot to say to you. That is just crazy-talk. How can an artist that is the most hated/blogged about artist out there say they can’t make any more music. I mean yes she won in the battle of getting us to all talk about her but let’s get real, with a voice like that she needs to be making music. I guess Lana wants us to just enjoy her album over and over again and make it a classic without her releasing new material. Something is telling me that this is all talk, and she feels pressure because of the success. But I give her 2 years before she drops a foll0w-up to Born To Die.

Lana knows how to create hype, and we like to give into it.

I think it’s about time we put our hands together for Ms Lana Del Rey. One of the most buzzin’ artists and most hated artists has compiled an album full of unique songs that will keep music lovers ears happy for a very long time. Lana’s debut album has finally come out today and after all of the bad reviews Lana’s live performances have gotten, she really just slapped everyone in the face with this album.

The album’s common theme is money, love, and success. The music is composed of mostly strings, haunting echo’s, and unique bass drops…oh and don’t forget Lana Del Rey’s oh so unique voice. Lana has been dubbed the gangster Nancy Sinatra, but I’d like to call her a hood-Adele. The music is raw, honest, but just a little outside of the box. Lucky for Lana her music will appeal to everyone. I call it the Adele age group. So ages 10-90. If this album doesn’t do well, I will be very surprised.

If your still not sure about getting the album you MUST listen to these songs:

  • Born to Die
  • Video Games
  • National Anthem (Lana is actually rapping in this song, plus the chorus is way too catchy!)
  • Dark Paradise
  • Radio

I predict that Lana will be around for the long-haul. I usually don’t rave about an album but this album is cosmic.

Lana Del Rey, too much hype?

January 15th, 2012 | Posted by marksuknanan in music - (0 Comments)

Oh Lana Del Rey, you and you big lips are giving us lots to talk about this weekend! The up and coming songstress who just performed on Saturday Night Live is buzzing like crazy right now! Her debut album called “Born To Die” will be out at the end of January but right now she is all everyone can talk about. Her performance on SNL was said to be be boring, uninspiring…mainly due to the fact that everyone had high expectations.

Performance here:

The fact that people are saying that she is ‘boring’ kind of bothers me. Lana’s musical style isn’t something that we are use to so it’s not like she is going to be doing a full-out dance routine to “Born To Die”(which I have had on repeat since yesterday).

Over the weekend, I have become a Del-Rey fan only because her voice is effortlessly amazing!

When people say “Too Much Hype”…I agree that there was too much hype. It was like all of a sudden she blew up without creating a secure fan base. We’ll see how sales for her debut album go when it drops on January 31st!

Also, you should take the time to watch her super majestic video for Born To Die.
