Don’t mind the caps but I am hella excited for these 2 to take over Toronto on June 17 2012. I’m a little upset that all of my predictions were wrong. I thought One Direction, The Wanted, or Katy Perry would be set to co-host this year but hey…who doesn’t like the party rock. With Katy Perry being announced as a main performer, I can see the vibe they are going with this year.

Miley Cyrus is currently overseas on her Gypsy Heart Tour! The former Disney star is performing sold out shows in Ecuador and lucky for the fans they are being treated to a Nirvana cover. Not sure WHO or WHAT Miley Cyrus’s target audience is but I have to say she didn’t do a BAD job.
Still confused?: The thing with Miley is her music is very ‘pop’ but her taste in music is classic rock. Two conflicting genres but I’m sure her record label tells her the money is in Pop music especially with the audience that is following her.

Billy Ray Cyrus has been very ‘vocal’ about his family issues lately. But now (after blaming Hannah Montana for ruining his family) he announced that he is calling the divorce to his wife Tish OFF. Billy went on to say that he will be trying to make things better for his family.
Why so public?: When a case breaks like this in Hollywood, I understand how people find out about divorces. But when Billy embarked on a publicity tour to talk about the divorce that’s when I realized that we might get some new MUSIC from Billy. Any publicity is good publicity and in the case of Billy Ray my guess is that he is coming out with someone SOON.
You just wait and see.
Last night I was one of the TWENTY SIX million people watching the premiere of American Idol Season 10. As I mentioned before, Simon Cowell’s contract ended last Season so they brought on Jennifer Lopez and Steve Tyler to take over. I didn’t mind them being there at all! Yes I did miss Simon’s funny remarks like when he told one girl to fire her singing coach. Instead of the judges making you laugh for the last 9 seasons…this seasons the entertainment is relying solely on the contestants. Jennifer Lopez is like the new Paula Abdul of the bunch because she just can’t say no to people. Steve Tyler is NOTHING like Simon however his random outbreaks of high pitch screamo sounding shrieks make him worth watching.
Unfortunately though it seems to me that America is going to get bored of these three judges VERY quickly. I guess it IS a good thing that it is their last season!
Highlight of last nights episode: I wanted to show you this audition of this guy name Yoji-Pop Asano. He believes he was Michael Jackson out of the womb and he hates Miley Cyrus. Yet he chose to sing her song in the audition. He is officially the new William Hung
I see big things for this guy.

Today is a sad day in the world of Disney. Although it feels like we have been hearing about the ‘end’ of Hannah Montana for quite some time now. Miley Cyrus‘s show had it’s last and FINAL episode ever and over SIX MILLION people watched her say Goodbye! Holy Hannah! Miley has been showing a lot of ‘bad-ass-ness’ to the press lately and she just wants to shed that Hannah Montana image once and for all. Personally, I don’t think her being Hannah Montana will ever be forgotten but it definitely won’t follow her around FOREVER. Some of the ‘scandals’ she took part in to get rid of Hannah Montana was the infamous Salvia Incident and her dressing like a Pussycat Doll to perform at the 2010 MuchMusic Video Awards. I respect her for taking risks though, although a lot of people don’t like Miley she has POP star written all over her. Whether or not she chooses to embrace it and actually put out good music is up to her.
I doubt we’ll get a new album from her anytime soon, I feel like for Miley the industry is just something for her just to do because she has the connections. Not because she genuinely loves doing it…I don’t know it’s just the vibe I get from her.
